Description

The grass ley is remarkably productive and has carried up to 1000 sheep during summer months. The grazing is more suited to sheep but alternative proposals will be considered.

Location

The field lies to the north of the Sherriff Hutton to Bulmer road. It is accessed by a hard track off the Council road.

Fencing

The field is fenced between points A-B, C-D and E-F on the plan. The remainder of the boundary will need an electric fence.

Mains water is available in 3 locations.

Environmental Schemes

The field is part of a Countryside Stewardship Scheme in arable reversion. There must be no more than 50kg of Nitrogen applied per hectare. This Scheme allows grazing between 1st April and 31st October.

Agreement

The Agreement would be on the basis of an annual licence with the option to renew for up to 3 years by arrangement.

The rent is in excess of £80 per acre to include water.
